Day 01: Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (Kathmandu)

Day 02: Fly or Drive to Pokhara (820m)

After breakfast, you travel to Pokhara — Nepal’s beautiful lake city and the gateway to the Annapurna region.

  • Drive (6–7 hours): A scenic road trip along rivers, hills, and Nepali towns.

Day 03: Drive to Phedi & Trek to Dhampus (1,650m)

A short drive takes you to Phedi, the starting point of your trek. From here, you’ll enjoy your first close-up views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and parts of the Annapurna Range

Day 04: Trek from Dhampus to Landruk (1,565m)

The trail gently climbs to Deurali, offering panoramic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri and surrounding snow peaks. After enjoying the ridge views, you descend through dense forests to the picturesque village of Tolka. A pleasant walk through terraced fields and small settlements brings you to Landruk, a peaceful Gurung village rich in culture and tradition.

Day 05: Trek from Landruk to Chomrong (2,170m)

Today’s trek is a mix of steady uphill and downhill sections. The trail passes through bamboo groves and farmlands before reaching Jhinu Danda, known for its natural hot springs. After a short break, you begin a steep climb to Chomrong, the last major settlement before entering the Annapurna Sanctuary. The village offers stunning views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre.

Day 06: Trek from Chomrong to Himalaya Hotel (2,920m)

After dropping down to the Chomrong Khola on steep stone steps, the trail climbs again, initially through terraced fields and then through a forest of bamboo and rhododendron. Today’s walk is always either up or down on steep paths which are often paved. Sometimes there are views of the Annapurnas and Machhapuchhare ahead, but often the forest is too thick to allow more than a tantalizing glimpse.

After reaching the village of Khuldigar, you descend a stone staircase to a section of exceptionally thick bamboo forest which leads to the settlement known as “Bamboo Lodge”. From here, you climb steeply through bamboo and rhododendron forest, following the trail high above the river to day’s end at Himalaya Hotel.

Day 07: Acclimatization Day at Himalaya Hotel

Today is a well-deserved rest day to help your body adjust to rising altitude. You can explore nearby ridges, enjoy views of the valley, or relax at the lodge. Short acclimatization hikes offer excellent scenery and prepare you for the higher elevation ahead at the base camps.

Day 08: Trek from Himalaya Hotel to Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m)

The day begins with a steady climb past Hinku Cave, a small emergency shelter formed under a large rock. The trail gradually opens into alpine terrain as you pass Deurali and Bagar. Eventually, you reach the wide grassy plateau of Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC), surrounded by dramatic peaks and glacier landscapes. Sunrise and sunset views here are unforgettable.

Day 09: Trek from MBC to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m)

Today is one of the highlights of the entire trek. The trail widens as you enter the Annapurna Sanctuary, a spectacular natural amphitheater surrounded by giant peaks. After a gradual uphill walk, you arrive at Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). Enjoy breathtaking, 360-degree views of Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, and Machhapuchhre a truly rewarding moment.

You’ll wake up and have breakfast in Machapuchare Base Camp and then set out for Annapurna Base Camp. Any living vegetation that you may have encountered on previous days will likely be replaced with snow, rocks, and boulders. Dress warm and take the trail slowly so you can acclimatise to the higher elevation.

The path widens as you enter the Annapurna Sanctuary, follows a stream, and then continues uphill. You’ll enjoy a rewarding finish with, unobstructed views of Machapuchare, Annapurna south, Annapurna I, Hiuchuli, and other peaks.

Day 10: Explore the Annapurna Sanctuary

Spend the day experiencing one of the most stunning high-altitude landscapes in the Himalayas. You may take short hikes around the sanctuary or simply relax at camp while soaking in the panoramic mountain views. This is ideal for photography, reflection, and enjoying the peaceful environment.

Day 11: Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Himalaya Hotel

After breakfast, you begin your descent from ABC, retracing your steps past Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Deurali, and Bamboo. The scenery looks different from a new angle, and you’ll descend through forests before stopping for the night at Himalaya Hotel.

Day 12: Trek from Himalaya Hotel to Chomrong

You continue descending through bamboo and rhododendron forests until reaching Khuldigar. The trail climbs again toward Chomrong, where you’ll enjoy your last major viewpoint of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South before leaving the upper valley.

Day 13: Trek from Chomrong to Ghandruk (1,940m)
